CAMEROON "Ngonso" - Kumbo Grade A, Espresso Roast

CAMEROON "Ngonso" - Kumbo Grade A, Espresso Roast

This Grade A coffee is a Java/Bourbon varietal that’s been washed and sun-dried. Grown between 1,700 and 2,200 meters above sea level, the beans have been roasted to a delightful espresso roast which displays a terrific melon aroma, a bit of apricot spice and sherry sweetness.

"Ngonso" is the legendary first queen of the Nso people who inhabit the Western Highlands in the Northwest Region of Cameroon and is where our growing cooperative is located. Their traditional language is Lamnso and their capital is Kumbo. The region of Cameroon is one of the highest producing areas with over one 300 tons annually. We are working with local partners to educate and train the Mbiim cooperative's women farmers in agroecology techniques to help improve the yield and sustainability of their organic crops.
